Well! After a short flight on a very small and noisy plane, we arrived in another Portuguese city, called Porto. This place is similar to Lisbon in many ways, but a lot smaller, and a little colder.
The first thing we did (after dropping off our luggage at the hotel), was go to the beach. I have decided that I like sitting on the sand and drawing pictures with a stick! What do you think of my efforts? After a while Sopi suggested that we all have an ice cream. FINALLY, I have been here five days without a single scoop! Because of this, Sopi said that I could have two flavours, so I was happy again.
Off to Porto
We took a fun little plane to Porto.
Ready to LEave
Arrived in Porto
It was such a quick trip! Only 30 minutes!!
The Atlantic is even colder here than in Lisbon
Sopi - Portugal
Sopi took me on a trip from Georgia to Portugal. We saw some lovely towns, learned how to make Port wine and ate (very hot) Chicken Piri-Piri. Portugal was very nice, and Sopi was a wonderful companion.
Writing in the Sand
So many flavours to choose from!!!
Sopi let me have two flavours!
Later, we went to the river at the port entrance. Oh! I have just realised why it is called Porto!
I got such a surprise. We were taken on a lovely ride on a boat and saw many beautiful buildings on the land. I have decided that I quite enjoy boat rides!

The next day, we took a bus to a special place where they make something called Port. I did not know that wine was made from grapes (it seems a bit of a waste of good fruit, to be honest), and I did not know that Port is a special, ‘fortified’ wine (I think that just means ‘made stronger’).
The tour was very interesting. It takes a lot of work to make wine, and then even more work to make it into Port. I do not really like the taste of alcohol (I tried a little bit of beer in Oregon), but this was very sweet, smooth and nice. I enjoyed it very much. I do not know why, but I kept telling Sopi that she was my best friend. Which was confusing, because there were two of her…
That evening, we celebrated the day with some new local food called Chicken Piri-Piri. I have never tasted anything so spicy before! It burned my mouth very much. The girls loved it, but it was just too much for my little mouth! Maybe next time they can make me one with just ONE Piri in it. I think it was the second Piri that made it too hot for me.

I got my very own glass of Port. It was sweet and lovely - HIC!
This is SO nice, but the sauce is SO Hot!
We took one last look around the town before going back to the hotel. We fly home to Tbilisi tomorrow. I will miss Portugal a LOT. The food was amazing, and I fell in love with Port! It will be good to see David and the cats again, but I could happily live in this part of the world.

I am a little lost bear. I have lost my owner, my friends, my home and my memory. I do have some cloudy memories of a little girl but I cannot see her face when I close my eyes. I cannot remember anything else about my life apart from that.
I think my name is Jumble. That was the name given to me by the old lady who found me.
I am trying to find my way back home using the postal service as a way to travel around the world.
