Jumble and the Turtle King

Book 2 in the Postal-Bear Series

by David Chandler

Book Cover: Jumble and the Turtle King
Part of the Postal Bear series:

The little bear returns in his latest adventure.

After escaping from the evil witch, Jumble has been sent east to the capital city of Georgia, where he is asked to help the Turtle King to find a lost and valuable blanket.

Join Jumble, the Gnomes and a host of new characters in his latest adventure.

“Hello little bear,” said a squeaky voice from behind me.
I jumped, and turned around to see a small Gnome standing on the stone. He was dressed in blue robes that went down to the floor and wore a long blue hat that reached halfway down his back. There was a small fish-bone on the end of it that waved around as he moved. Even his beard was slightly blue. It reminded me of the little waves on the lake's surface.
“Did I startle you?” he grinned. "I hope I startled you. I've not startled anyone for days! Possibly weeks!"
He pulled out a small diary and flicked through the pages.
"September? Nope! August? Noooo! July..., July... Ah! The last time I startled someone was on July the Ninth! It was a small hedgehog that was looking for worms. He was not very happy about it," the Gnome continued, rubbing his bottom! "Anyway. Who are you and what do you want?"

Easy enough to be read aloud to younger listeners and challenging enough for older hands to hold, Jumble and the Turtle King is the second adventure in the ‘Postal-Bear’ series.

Each chapter is just the right length for a great night-time storytelling experience for both the listener and the reader and, with seven chapters in each story, your bedtime reading needs are met for a full week.

About the Author

David was born before there were such things as televisions, electricity or the written word.

He attended an all-girl comprehensive school (until he failed the medical) and was once the richest person in the known universe.

David currently lives on a small asparagus plantation in Fiji with his two cats and an invisible ostrich called Gerald. Gerald is particularly partial to asparagus, therefore, David is still to realise his second fortune…

Well, the bit about the cats is true!

He also loves Doctor Who, KFC and ice cream, but not always at the same time.

About Author

I am a little lost bear. I have lost my owner, my friends, my home and my memory. I do have some cloudy memories of a little girl but I cannot see her face when I close my eyes. I cannot remember anything else about my life apart from that. I think my name is Jumble. That was the name given to me by the old lady who found me. I am trying to find my way back home using the postal service as a way to travel around the world.
